Raptors, especially Owls, are my favorite subject. I love the wide-open spaces that Snowy Owls, Short-eared Owls, Northern Harriers, Hawks and other species soar above. And there is nothing as calm and beautiful as the Boreal Forest that is home to Great Gray, Boreal and Northern Hawk Owls. These species provide a great photographic subject — mysterious, accessible with effort, challenging to capture, and absolutely stunning.
